Project Information
8×10 on birch ply and original photo used as a reference. This is the last of the three portraits I was doing of my children. The details and equipment are included with the first portrait, but I am happy to answer questions as always. I prefer working with pine, but the grains in the pine look like shadows across the face on portraits, so thus the birch. (my five year olds are not twins, they are 10 1/2 months apart.)
I have mentioned this before, but I use a Detail Master burning system. I own 3 different burners and probably 20 or so tips, but all I use is the Detail master (for many reasons it is the best one in my opinion.) and all I use is one tip. (the med. rounded skew.) I really had to buy all the equipment I have in order to know what I didn't need or didn't like, lol.
And thanks for all the kind comments you all make, this is a very generous group.
