Project Information

Well last time I was here someone let me know that I need to add more details . I am not a writer so I will do my best. This truck started out as plan # 207 from Aschi's Plans. Well I tried to make one of Peter's truck , but as usual I could not stick to a plan. His plans are fun and easy. I just seem unable to follow a plan. All hooked up it about 36" and for me it's about a week to build. It has a lot of pine, oak, maple, ash, and little mahogany here and there.

Making your trailers your first picture I passed it up the first couple a times [not knowing what it was] I looked in here then final read the title and found this great truck and trailer. Cool!!!
The truck and trailer decks are super nice and love the safety bars behind the cab.

You chearning these great models out in your workshop or on your photo copier?

Thanks for the xtra info OB1... If your response is to me, I'm not after a 400 page tome but just a tad more than a brief narrative. After all the time you spend on it/tem, you deserve more bragging right anmd while I hate reading I'm interested in the story (and any oopsies if applicable).

What, where, how is the skinny on the eagle?

Eagle , what eagle? Just kidding Duck. I am not looking forward to using the last few I have. The friend that buys most of my trucks sent me 7 of them and ask that I put them on the trucks for him. His story is that that is all he has, he had a friend that is now passed and that friend gave them to him years ago. The story goes that his friend had them made at a jewler for some project he was doing and my friend does not know where. That means that unless I can find someone that sells them, the five I have left will be the end of them.

Eagle , what eagle? ....

Thank for the feedback OB1. I normally avoid non-timber items in models (except for oils, shellac, poly and maybe tyre black), however, there are times when one MUST make an exception.

Was going to commend you on your miniature carving skill and then poo-poo you for painting it silver… however, after gestating over your explanation, you get a reprieve.
