Looks great. And I'm not biased at all - grin. And he really loved getting the pen.

Great lookin' pen.
All parents say they love their gift, because they have to say that.
There is no doubt that, no matter who gave him the pen….
He would have to love it!!!

That's very nice. I've done very limited turning. I can't even imagine turning something that small. It's a gift that I would love to get, especially if it was made by a friend or family member.

Thanks for the encouragement! No, I didn't make the pen box. The pen box was purchased from my Penn State Industries Wood turning magazine.

Beautiful pen. I've turned a few, but mine don't even come close to that nice.

A gift to be proud of, whether giving or receiving.

Beautiful pen! The grain on the Cocobolo looks great. How is it to turn? Thanks for sharing.

That's a great looking pen. The only advice I can give, and hopefully you'll consider it constructive, is to give more thought to the background. Unfortunately, the pen box doesn't set the pen off very well.

What a beautiful pen. Cocobolo is one of my favorite woods and you certainly did it justice. Is the case maple? I really like the contrast.

Beautiful pen! Cocobolo is one of my favorites as well but it sure dulls the tools fast.

Very nice pen. My only criticism would be that you're making the purchase of a lathe all the more appealing.
Great work.

Excellent! Have you tried a CA glue finish yet? Give it a try, I think you'll like it! Gorgeous pen Sherry!
