Just started in LumberJocks and figured I would start with my shop. I have a basement shop about 24×40.We recently moved to this house and I am in the process of building new benches and cabinets. Still working with the shop layout trying to make the most of the space.

Currently in the shop I have:
Freud Slidding miter saw
Ryobi 10 inch Bench top Drill Press
Older Delta Milwaukee 14" bandsaw I have refurbished
Rigid benchtop sander
Delta 1" band sander with an 8" disk sander
Dewalt thickness planner
Ryobi BT3000 tablesaw (looking to upgrade) Finally sent to the curb.
Grizzly G0487
Craftsman radial arm saw
Rigid1hp Dust collector
Dremel 16" scroll saw
Craftsman router table
and the normal complement of hand tools

I will take some pictures this weekend and post them soon. I have been working with wood since I was young, learned from my Father and Grandfather most of what I know and am grateful for them introducing me to the hobby.

On the wish list are a jointer and a new tablesaw. Also looking to build a drum sander similar to the ones I have seen built by LJ memebers.

OK Finnaly had a chance to take some photos and get them added to the site. I hope I can get this to work.

Here are a few pictures from the shop. Several of the wood toys I am working on are on the benches in various stages of completion. The older greychest of drawers was from my Great Grandfather and the tools in the top are all from him. I also have a tool chest that was his protable tools when he did work off site. My Dad has most of the old planes and hand tools from him in his shop.

I have only got about half of the shop set up. After we moved I deployed overseas for a year and am just now getting back to work in the shop. I have to build shelving so I can store all of the stuff we did not unpack and make an area for finishing and final assembly of larger projects.

This is a nice looking shop that you have. It looks like you have added quite a bit of storage and bench top space to your shop and you have a nice set of tools to play with.

It is wonderful that you have some of your great Grandfather's tools to use. I inherited several hand tools that my father and grandfather used during their working careers. They were both rough carpenters. It always is a pleasure to use the tools that they once held. I am sure your great grandfather would be proud that you are putting his tools to good use.

Thanks for the pictures. I enjoyed visiting your shop.
