Although I am not that intense of a BBQ'er to need all of that, I sure do find it a neat project and clever build.
Unfortunately snakes and big spiders are going to live in there.

I grill almost every day! You'd be surprised how clean it stay in there. I haven't seen any bugs yet… I do spray bug killer around the outside so i'm sure thats why.

BBQ tools tend to be too big for storing in the kitchen, so this is a good size for them, only question is do you want it there all the time? I'm gonna swipe the idea, but hang it inside the garage where I can grab what I need heading out to the grill.

Really good idea! You could put some kind of gaskit to shut the door tight if worried about bugs. Is there any hardware out there to eliminate the chains?

Who, that is, uh, BRILLIANT. I am in the middle of a cool old bench refurb to use as a grill station….but that just seems like a much better idea. Cool stuff. Nice work.

I didn't really look into it to be honest. I spray bug killer on the outside and haven't noticed any spiders or bugs so i think its fine.

The chains/hinges can probably be updated to work solo or even hidden.

I have it right next to my grill. It works perfectly! having them on hand is the reason I made the cabinet in the first place. And when the door is closed it looks like nice rustic decoration so its a win win.
