Project Information

Here is a selection of wine bottle balancers I have been making lately. I have done two groups of these, stained in different finishes, and cut to different sizes and angle to give a little variety to the selection. These photos are of my most recent set, as the last set I had to deliver before I had time to take some decent photos.
Now that I have a bit of an inventory set up, I have also started a listing @ etsy.com and made a facebook page for trying to sell things that I make. I am pretty excited to finally have some items up for sale, and found out today that my mom sold 3 of these already in her pizza place! since none of the materials for this cost me anything at all, I am profitable already, though I haven't made much, we all have to start somewhere.
These are stained with cherry, dark walnut, or maple stain, and also come in natural oak finish. They are all made from reclaimed oak. finished with 3 coats of wipe on poly and some finishing wax. I am really happy with how the finish came out.
I am also excited to move onto my next project and get it up for sale too!
thanks for checking them out :)

Oh come one now. You can't throw out that you have an etsy account and a facebook page without the links. Am I overlooking them?

Thanks NormG, I enjoy making these, as they are almost mistake proof :p

Don.S (aka porchfish) Thanks, and it is not my original idea, I just tried to make them look a bit unique. Build away brother!

The Head Chuck - lol, I thought about posting the links, but figured you guys on here were a lot less likely to buy than just make one for yourself :p

here are the links though, since you asked :)

Thanks bobmcw!
All my projects are going to be built with reclaimed or repurposed wood, as I can get all I need and more for free from some contractors in the area.

Also want to say a big thanks to everyone who has come and checked out my FB and Etsy pages!
According to etsy's shop stats page, the highest number of viewers to my shop have been from LJ's clicking on the link here! I appreciate you guys coming to check out my work and my ads, that is pretty cool!
