Project Information

I have a massive pen project that must be done a week before Christmas so I am starting now.

These two are Classic American Twist pens from Woodcraft kit. The first is from natural Georgia pecan that a friend harvested from his yard. The second is the same kit but with Cherry burl. The last is a bunch of burl that will be made into various pens.

A great source of pen burls is www.arizonasilhouette.com.

I took these photos a bunch of times. These are the best results. One day, after I stop turning, I guess, I'll figure out how to take better pictures.

Beautiful pens, but Lee, I must say the link you provided really makes my day! Thanks for sharing that especially. I should probably take a hint from you and figure out what the Christmas projects will be so that I spend a minimum amount of time working in the cold and propane fumes.

Great looking pens! Since pens require so little wood, it's got to be a nice hobby to make them as gifts for people.

Sounds like you're going to a family get-together and know who gets what for being good all year ;P
Bill at AZS does a good job of providing toys for us penmaking addicts.
Nice looking work.
