Project Information

Here is a piece of work that took me three years to make for my wife. all the wood is from left over from projects that I made for other customers in the past. I only used White and Red Oak build this piece. The Unit measures 32 1/2 " wide X 65 " tall X 18" Deep.
The doors are on the side with the only way to open it is with a key. Both Doors are sealed tightly for no dust to get in. All glass was dadoed into the frame work as I was building the unit. Sence then I have had to cut out the back side of two pieces of glass due to some actidents that no one knows how it happened.lol ( with three adult kids and eight grandchildren that do like to play in the house, NO ONE KNOWS HOW IT HAPPENED). LOL Any way my wife is still proud and she displays all her dolls that she has collected through outthese past 29 years. I am sure it will last past us and most likely down through out my grandchildrens children. I assembled everything together with dowel rods and wood glue.
Well I hope you all enjoy its pictures as much as MY Wife has enjoyed it.

Jim, your family must get overjoyed everytime they hear that you are starting another project. You do very good work. I thought that my house was the only one with mysterious unexplained happenings. LOL.

It's beautiful Jim

And it looks like it will pass a few generations, well, at least the woodwork, about the glasses…with all the small kids that like to try if the glass is strong enough for a flying baseball…I'm not sure…

Jim,

Either you or your wife have a lot of patience, but worth it. Beautiful project.

Beautiful cabinet. I just hope it doesn't take that long when she wants you to put out the garbage. :)

Great project! We have two kids and it is amazing how accidents are such a mystery!
