Project Information
This is a cart I made because I ran out of room in my garage, and I had some extra wood left over from making my plywood rocking bench. I have purchased two IKEA metal sliding drawers to hold all of my little things for now.
The power strip in the middle has a cord that goes underneath and plugs into one slot, keeping all my cords tidy. I will be adding my vacuum/separator unit to one of the underhangs on this cart. It should fit nicely, and allow me to detach it easily enough. The vacuum hose will go down the center of the unit. The grey rectangular box mounted underneath the cart is an old under the counter kitchen radio I picked up for 50 cents at a yard sale.
If you look closely, everything has clearance for the other tools. The router table and sander table are equal height, and the band saw deck clears the top of the scroll saw. There is also a piece of 2X4 (which my son has drawn a nice square on with a marker) that keeps lumber level with the miter saw.
I decided to start a separate project post for the vacuum unit since it's going to be a home-built, very interesting and fun build from an old household upright. Check my blog posts for the updates on that project.
