This is a recent project to make my Central Machinery (Harbor Freight) combo sander more user friendly. The mobile base height gives me a comfortable working position whether I'm using the 9" disk or the 6X48 belt. Since my shop is in the basement I am concerned about minimizing dust, so I built a pvc dust shroud on a stand that the sander fits into. The shroud has a connector for the 4 inch dust collection hose. My dust collector catches almost all the dust created by the belt. I also plan to add a smaller DC port for the belt housing for the disk - that will connect to my shop vac.
