Project Information
You know what they say, you can "never have enough clamps". After collecting clamps for many, many years and the clearance deal at Lowe's last year, I think I may now have enough
So one day last year, I was reading a post from the Wood Whisper that Lowes was discontinuing their Bessey line and their clamps were on clearance. It was late, but I still had about 15 minutes before the local Lowes store was closing. To my surprise, they still had plenty in stock and most were at least 70% off. Since this never happens to me, I loaded up as much as I could afford. The next day I hit 2 more stores on the way to work and a third on the way home. In all, I got about $1200 in clamps for $275. This included 10 - 24" K Body Revo clamps and a couple dozen of their large Tradesman Clamps.
Once I recovered from my "tool gloat", I realized I had more than I could use, so I shipped several to my brother in Missouri as a surprise. I also realized I was going to need more storage. Since I was already limited on space, I made this cart that I could store under my sander and roll over to my assembly table when I needed it. The center section is off-set to accommodate the deeper clamps.
I also filled up the 2 racks on the end of my assembly table.
I believe this was the first time in 26 years, that I did not get a clamp for Christmas. Sure seemed weird!
