Project Information

I had a customer who wanted a custom jewelry box with mitered drawers. I made three at the same time. The boxes are made from walnut, cherry and white oak . Each was a little different. The walnut box was finished with Genral Finishes Arm-R-Seal satin. The cherry boxes were finished with Watco Danish Oil and bri-wax. Drawer liners are different colored materials, while the drawer dividers are made with the same wood as the drawers (white oak or cherry).

These are beautiful. I've liked this design for a long time and would like to attempt to make a watch box in this manner. Did you work from a plan or figure it out on your own? Either way, each are great.

All 3 are wonderful, and while the same, they are widely different to look at. Very nice work.

Thanks for posting.

That is beautiful. Talk about precision! I don't think I'd ever seen a mitered drawer face before that sits flush with the outside like that. Great job!
