Project Information

A huge project.

Custom designed in Sketchup, a client from a computer graphics and animation company in Manhattan contacted me for a special use Mission style computer desk.

All quarter sawn white oak, with a simple poly finish. About 7' long, by 30" high, by 32" deep.

Client was pleased, and has already commissioned more work :)

wow, great looking desk. I like the massive looking coloumns and the arched rail and how that was repeated in the top.

Beautiful work. I like the size and scale of this piece.
Are you a fan of Kevin Rodel? It reminds me a little of his work.

Now you have to find a place for those Glasgow style inlays on version 1.0
I liked that concept sketch too.

Keep up the great work.

what are those three rounded rectangles in the top? Are those decoration/panels, or are those something else? I can't figure that out from here. Beautiful oak btw.

Douglas, they are removable inserts; client uses special electronics that go into those holes…

Interesting, do you have any picture of those removed, or what that looks like?

That's a beauty! The proportions are as perfect as I've ever seen. Poly + white oak should work out well. I like everything about it.
