Project Information

A fun project to see if I could turn a Miniature winged box with up and down wings. I used Tasmanian Myrtle.
Pictures 2,3,4 show the comparison alongside a 6" square box. Next will be 2 wings up 2 wings down before
attempting a smaller version.
Have found that using mini rubber chucks held this small object firm on the lathe, you can check out the rubber chucks on www.rubberchucky.com it is a American firm with a good variety of rubber chucks for all projects.
Haven't forgotten you Pete, these a just a promo.

Geeez Mate, you're starting to get a bit too tricky with these Manta Ray turns, I haven't done one for a couple of years might have to try my luck again, just keep em coming.
Hey had a look at the Chucky site, interesting stuff.

Wonderful ring box! Great design, like the pretty wings, texture and finial. Outstanding work!
