Project Information
This small project was a comissioned work from my wife.
She wanted a box to store medicines and she requested it to look like a weathered/antiquated painted box.
As a first try, I practised the technique on my tool chest (http://lumberjocks.com/projects/89871) with the mixed results everyone reported…
Still, I went forward and proceeded with this smaller box.
Woods are pine for the painted parts, alder and spalted beech (rescued from the firewood pile) for the non-painted parts.
The verdict : my wife thought that the paint "did not look old and weathered enough". I guess that it takes more practice (which will not come easily as I am not a great fan of painting wood).
Until next time,
