Project Information

I am really enjoying mixing the hardness of metal and softness of wood in my rings. Planning to add more metals like 316L stainless steel and titanium to the mix of some new exotic woods. The endless combinations and possibilities will keep me busy and out of trouble for a long time. :)

You just do this sooooo well.
Great combination. Do you do your own machining of the metals?
The reason I ask is that I have experience with 316 SS and it is hard stuff.
Anyway, beautiful ring….. again.

Another beautiful piece - I would love to make something similar for my rapidly growing girls (ages 13 and 15).
Any tips on how you make these - we have some very unique timbers in NZ that I'm happen to donate in exchange for advise.

Another very nice piece Shannon. I imagine having the stainless steels blanks would make it quicker doing different ring sizes as they would already be to size and just a matter of doing the bentwood part of the process over the blank. Not that I have any idea how you do the bentwood ring part of it, it just seemed logical to my thinking. Also looks like another guitar string in that ring…looks great. An excellent ring and thanks for sharing.

Your work continues to really impress. This is beautiful. I showed these to my wife and she went WOW. How does she do that? I wonder too I couldn't explain it. I do wonder what sort of trouble you could possibly get into if you weren't creating new designs.

Shannon; you blend the uniqueness of the wood grain so it is aligned with the stainless steel wire that makes your rings wonderful to look at.

If you guys can get the loop tight enough (like 1/8" or 1/4"ID) you possibly have a commercial market for box hinges. With or without the metal.

Another beautiful product that is sure to expand your customer list! Stainless and Titanium are both good choices for people who have allergic reactions to other jewelry metals. I bet the men love these combinations of high tech and rugged style.
