Project Information

Mesquite table-Now That I have gotten good pictures I want to show everyone. This table is Mesquite with a Walnut/Maple bentwood curved line sandwiched in between two halves of the table. The joinery close up is under the table were the legs come together. The pedistal base is all carved and hand shaped. There is turquoise inlayed into the natural cracks.

This is absolutely beautiful.

Are the blue streaks in the table top natural?

Gorgeous. Inspiring. I love the mixed media aspect of it. Especially since the turquoise is understated in it's use. Thanks for sharing!

I've got three or four more levels to aspire to before I aspire to THAT level!

Wonderful work Scott. I am so impressed with how tightly those joints fit, and they are not at 90 degrees. Care to share your secret on how you did that?

you are such an artist - very interesting design. The base looks like (to me) an old tree trunk with the sides going down into roots. Very nice.

Superb artistry, & craftsmanship.
Mesquite sure has some outstanding figure. It looks lke a very dense wood.

Very inspiring, Scott. Please don't show us any small boxes; I'd have to crawl away into a corner somewhere.

Please post more!

This came up on the shuffle and I about dropped my jaw. Astoundingly beautiful and a very fresh take on design.

Scott,
I found it in pulse by following Douglas. This is a great piece of work. The base does look like a Mesquite tree.
