Project Information
Men's Valet Box, one of my hybrid boxes where mitered joints and bandsaw box come together this is a lidless box with two open trays on top and two lift out trays, two very large drawers, a hidden drawer, a very large secret compartment with a false bottom door located on top of the box under the lift off false bottom door, by pulling out the small tray from the bottom drawer and strategically placing it on top of the false door located on top of the box lining up the magnets it latches onto the door then by lifting the tray out it reveals the hidden, once again this is my own design and creation a one of a kind.
The inner core of this box is Alder, wrapped in Mesquite with mitered corners, Wenge was used for the pulls, splines and the top lift out tray.
I added one new feature to this box, feet I believe it was Tom, "Docsavage that gave me this idea.
The Box measures 11 3/4 " long x 6" high x 7 1/2" wide, the It is Finished in a single coat of tung oil and several coats of my on mix of satin wipe on poly and a final coat of paste wax.
I have also included a blog for this build that I've had some request for, it can be viewed here in this blog.
Thanks for viewing and comments are always enjoyed and replied too.
