Blackie, this is a very intricate design. I like all of the features you have designed into this form: drawers, pulls, trays, hidden compartments, divided areas. This is the whole package for a box all in one item. It should sell well and represents lots of combined skills on your part. Nice work, nice finish, nice wood, nice design, nice photos, nice write-up…this is all together too nice. Keep boxing and keep posting.

Blackie, I have 5 or 6 of those tree's standing dead here.

When my hip quits giving me fits I'll cut them down and slice them up. I hope they come out as useful as what you have!

A really beautiful box….well thought out, well designed, a combination of a bandsaw box look with conventional box building/joinery… An awesome job well executed. The TCE wood is really beautiful.

Thanks Jim

Thanks Big Al actually it's going to it's first day view at a show tomorrow. :)

Dallas Very nice to work with.

Andy it gets it's name cedar Elm due to it growing in and around Juniper and it's also lime stone and drought hardy, it's region is mostly Texas and I believe northern Louisiana up into southern Arkansas but not prominent in OK.

Thanks Thomas and Russell

Thanks Greg looking at the wiki for the cedar elm you should be able to find it there in Louisiana, northern part.
