Mended Heart
This piece was originally intended to be part of a threesome. My wife has a real thing about hearts and the house is littered with them in all shapes and sizes and different materials.
The idea behind this piece is that the first would be a broken heart, second (this one) a mended heart and thirdly a healed but scarred heart.
I have not yet managed to finish either of the other two pieces.
This is a section of 50mm thick reclaimed Oak stitched with a length of steel cable. It was an absolute joy to work with this wood.
