My personal table , that of course like the woody I am is for sale :)
Sound Spalted Maple - solid figure side to side book matched set with life edge cambium is sound and in tact.
36" X 55" on 1920,s solid cast iron base. satin hand rubbed urethane finish smooth like glass
yet soft.

5 ash ladder backs may go with it and a curve life edge Spalted Beech bench?

oh and spalted pin oak dovetail-keys on top spalted maple on bottom side of the table top.

Man! I'm in love with this table! Very beautiful..Can I get the background info on the slabs and legs? Again, great job pulling this one together.

Well the slabs are left over from a huge 11, table I built (also in my photos) named "free Spirit"- that worked perfect for the base
which my wife had got her hands on after 5 years of trying from a Large garden store where she ran a nursery
and gave Botanical advise. the owners had bought the table from an antique dealer in England

Originally the top was teak slats and this was a outdoor garden table. I sand blasted the base and panted it -thought of powder coating but was panted the first time- the teak had rotted away so the base sat finished for three years until the "right" wood showed up and as always it did.

Fabulous! Where did you get the base? Is this new or taken from some old table?
