Project Information

This is the last of the single slab tables i made from a local tree. The tree was pretty far gone but i got 4 usable tops out of it. As you can see, there was some hardware in the tree which accounts for the black streaks. Voids were filled with soapstone and epoxy. The table is 7' long x 52" on wide end and 44 " on narrow end. This was finished with varnish blend.

JC. I really like your work and style. I hope to move away from traditional designs, and build more unique projects and furniture. Thanks for the inspiration.

John,

Lots of postings! LOL! I like the subtlety of this piece. I'm more of a fan of movement and color balance as opposed to contrasting colors. This will age well.

Very nice work. Its nice to be able to make use of part of something that old. I have an old maple tree on my property that is probably that big but still healthy.

Great job!
