Project Information

Here is a picture I recently took of a Manzanita Burl bangle with a crushed turquoise inlay. My 12 year old daughter is wearing the bangle… Man! She is growing up :( I made this bangle about two months ago, but am just getting it posted.

I also have attached a picture of an Aspen Burl bangle that I made around the same time. Again, my daughter is the model.

She is daddy's helper, but I haven't quite convinced her to sweep up the shop for me :) I will keep working that angle. haha

Thanks for looking!

Eric

Those bangles are intriguing.
I imagine that the inner core is spun first and then inserted into the wooden turning and then spun again to complete the edge. Am I completly wrong, or is there some other magical way to do this?
