Thanks for the kind words.
The woods are river vein walnut, and maple.
This small project has taken as much time as some of the larger things due to all the small parts and details, but it was a good excuse to buy some new tools!
I will probably use tongue oil for a finish.

Hi Wade,

This is a very nice looking clock. I have often said that good craftmanship can't be rushed so don't worry about how long it is taking. I am looking forward to seeing the finished piece.

To answer Dan's question, you'll have to paint it white to look like Roman architecture. :)

Regarding the columns, yes I did turn them, and they are tapered from bottom to top.
It gave me a good excuse to get a lathe duplicator.

Was looking thru some of your work here and noticed your little avatar. You are sitting in the back seat of a P-51D Mustang. Since you have a helmet on, you must of flown in it. If you got to fly in one….....well then I don't like you at all…........and I am jealous.
