Project Information
I finally got this thing started and complete. I was initially going to do it last fall but got busy getting some woodworking done for a gallery and then got busy on other projects. This is my first sculpted table and I am pleased with it. It was not too difficult and, as with all projects, I took away a great experience and broadened my techniques.
If you want to build one of these the only way to go is with the instructional package from Scott Morrison at finewoodworker.com. The package contains plans and an instructional CD that is awesome. It is done in 3D animation and very informative from start to finish. This is a very innovative approach to instruction. As Scott says, "Think Pixar meets woodworking."
Scott is already an expert woodworker and this only shows more proof that he is a great instructor as well. I highly recommend this.
Solid Walnut, finished with three coats of Danish Oil and then three coats of wipe-on Poly. Completed with hand rubbed paste wax.
Thanks for viewing.
