Project Information

During the summer my son Teddy asked to help with some project he could finish before school started. We choose to add a Mallet. We had small bits of Bubinga and and Maple around from previous projects and he decided what he wanted to use for each section. While he was working on this I purchased a Ridgid Oscillating Spindle sander and boy did it make quick work of making the handle. I turned out great fits very nicely in the hand.

Very nice Ron. I love this particular design and the contrast in the colours really looks great.

Great looking mallet. When you do your next one you might glue some leather to the faces. It is impossible to just build one mallet. They are great useful tools to build out of different scrap pieces.
your choice of woods is great.

Hi Ron,

Great looking mallet…You and your son did a bang-up job on it…...beautiful…...Would you happen to remember the dimensions of the head and handle…..? If so, you can PM them to me, if you don't mind…Thanks.
