Project Information

Hi LJ's,

After some weeks "out of the business" (I've been busy at work), I'm glad to present you my first try on the lathe with my new chuck (Axminster Clubman SK100). I'm pretty excited with the results. The wood I've chose is Ash. I assume this project it's simple but I hope you liked as well. I finished it with 3 coats of Tung oil to give water and moisture protection. It holds hot water and tea without any problem (my wife have been using it daily for the last week).

Please, be free to make any question about the project or the chuck, even. I'm also here to learn with you so I'll be pleased to read your suggestions.

As usual, I leave you the video of the crafting process. Enjoy!

Regards from Barcelona.

Beautiful cup!

I'm also in Barcelona. Do you have any suggestion about where to buy hand tools and woods in the city? Thank you very much!

Thank you all four! I'm glad you liked it.

About your question wwu, I usually buy wood on a lumber yard called "Fustes Garriga" which I recommend you for their variety of species (even tropical ones) and kindness. In the other hand I usually buy my woodworking tools online.

Regards!
