Project Information

Here is the set of magazine holders I made for my wife after I donated the first set to my daughters class to raise money for the yearbook. My wife loves them. Especially the one that looks like it has a face on it. She tells me she will put her sci-fi magazines in there. These are mad of purpleheart, padauk, cherry, and walnut. Hope you enjoy.

Great Job Tim.
I have a bunch of different wood working magazines that need to get organized.
I think your cool looking magazine holders will find their way on to my project list.
Thanks for sharing.

Very nice job - great looking magazine files. Could use some of those myself. How did you get the thin wood wide enough for the sides?

Jim I actually used 1/4 birch plywood for the sides. My wife like that the most on the first one I made for her. On the first ones I use two pieces of 1/4 maple glued together on one and 1/4 birch ply on the other. I liked the maple myself but they were for her and that is what matters. I happy wife means more cave time.

These are awesome, I have the crappy plastic jobs. I may have to copy this and make some for myself.

those are certainly much nicer than the ones I store my "Fine Woodworking" collection in…but then again I bought mine from IKEA.
