Project Information

At 16" w x12"d x 9" h this is the largest box I've ever built. I designed it myself but based it on the smaller version (last project) with the tambour top attached to the bottom drawer. The only hardware needed are two 5/8 screws. I made 2 drawer fronts but my dovetails were tight enough I decided to leave the tail ends exposed. Bottoms are lined with suede leather. All the dividers are removable. I was very pleased with the end result. Operation is smooth and flawless.

Jim,
Though it is huge, the way how it was cut seems to be small. The thickness of the woods use are proportioned. Excellent design and the arrangement of drawers perfect. Beautiful and very functional. Thanks for posting.

I agree withthe above statemements!!!!! What I aslo missed as I was talking while looking at this was the top. Love the grain and knot on this. The sides on this are great as well. Would love to hear more about the process. A++++++++++

Not quite to my taste but a very impressive box nonetheless. The top is especially nice. Also nice to have someone acknowledge that cutting dovetails is not a trivial operation - we don't hear that enough !

Beautiful and very masculine looking, like the wood combos. What a great idea having top open with bottom drawer.
