littleblackduck-I started with their drawings, then went off of photos of his unit.

steve-I use a combination of adhesives. CA insta-set gel, CA thin, Tite bond red, blue, green and tried the "rapid set" i like it.

awsum55-I have done tracks before. I have a device I built and do 80 percent of the cuts on the table saw. The filing and assembly was done by the fire place watch some playoffs and just clearing my head at the end of the day

I am sure your nephew will treasure this piece and it will be an heirloom for generations to come. When you make pieces like this, so you apply any kind of finish?
