So I have caught a bit of that "don't buy a new one, I can fix it bug." Stephanie decided to paint the bathroom. She took off all the hanging fixtures, including the toilet paper roll hanger and repainted them too. Unfortunately, she left them outside on a rock, and when I drove home in the dark, I ran over the roll hanger. It wasn't ruined but the screw that held the hanger to the wall was broken. I tried to use JB Weld, but it just wouldn't hold. So what did I do…'
Why I sanded down a dowel rod with my 6" delta grinder and cut it off from the rod. Viola, new screw with a wide enough head so that it could hold the piece in place!
Boy did I feel manly!
