Project Information

This was made by my daughter when she found a piece of plywood in my shop with a hole drilled in it that I was using to help align holes for hinges. She said she wanted to make mom a bird house for Christmas. She told me how to what other pieces of wood to cut and where they should go. I started the nails for her and she finished them off. She applied way too many different kinds of finish to list, started with a brush and finished with her fingers.

And I'll bet it was Mom's favorite gift!

Looks like you have quite a talented little helper.

That is a keeper.
Put it up on a shelf and give it back to her in twenty years.
Great work.

You have a future L.J. on your hands. It wont be long and you'll be buying her tools for Christmas. Very nice indeed!!

That's awesome.. Any bird would be proud to live in that…. Mom must be especially proud!

I like the fingerpaint finish….

She looks very pleased with her first woodworking project and well she should! I bet you had a ball working with her on it, right, and I'm sure Mom is very pleased and very proud of her little angel. Adorable little girl and a very imaginative bird house - it should attract birds of all colors.

The best kind of project, and she looks most pleased with the result. Well done…. Great memories are made in the Garage / workshop if we let them.
