Project Information

This is a rocking chair I made recently from 2X4s, off the rack from Lowes. I had been thinking about doing this for years and finally one day decided it was now or never. It was a challenge. The wood had to be reinforced and it was not sufficiently dry for furniture so it all had to go in the kiln for a spell. It is a beautiful rocking chair I believe!

Mind blowing how you extracted such a thing of beauty from common 2×4s.

I'll never look at a 2×4 the same way again. Unbelievable. How many did you have to sort through to get that nice grain?

Beautiful…..

Proof positive that it's the hand of the crafter that makes all the difference. Beautiful work!

Agreed. It's beautiful. Vision, belief and work will turn nothing into something.

Thanks guys! I don't come on Lumberjocks very often. Is it possible to respond directly to a comment? I can't figure it out.

Thanks,

Hal
