Good results, I know it is a bit more trying than it looks. Did you make the lozenges from commercial veneer, resaw veneer or thicker wood? What did you use to cut them and do you recommend that way?

I have a Veritas string inlay tool that i use to slice 1/2" strips of commercially available veneer. I then create stacks of 1/2" strips and alternate the all three species in one stack. I have found that by doing this, the pieces will turn out to be much more uniform. I tape the packets together. I use a very small hobby miter box and gents saw to cut the angles.

Each specie needs to follow the same grain direction. So, using a pencil, I draw a line down the center of each sliced piece before I make the stacks.

I think everyone maybe does it a little differently, but I have found this works pretty well for me.

Thank you Paul. My wife makes jewelry, so I asked her to buy me some 20 ga. square silver wire with her last supply order. The wire bends if you look at it the wrong way, so it was a minor challenge keeping it straight.
