My daughter and I were watching Youtube one day when we stumbled across a video of a girl on her longboard. She was freestyle dancing on it while riding. (
) My daughter was immediately interested. She asked me if she could have a longboard of her own. I then got the idea that I could make her one. I couldn't find a longboard template.As i was looking for some ideas, I came across Ken90712 (http://lumberjocks.com/Ken90712) who helped me out a lot. It took me a while because I kept getting sidetracked on other projects. For the finish I used General Finishes High performance water based top coat semi-gloss. When I finally got it done, I took my daughter down to South Bay skate and had a clear grip tape put on for $15. If you have noticed, my longboard design is similar to my cutting board designs. In all, my daughter really likes her new longboard.
