Project Information

Here's a trio of tealight holders made from hedge (aka bois d'arc or osage orange). Probably not the best choice of wood when drilling endgrain with a forstner! If you've ever worked with it, you know that the fresh cut surface is bright yellow. I lightly oxidized it with a propane torch to hasten the natural mellowing and sprayed them with satin lacquer.

That is a cool idea. What size hole did you use?

I like these to. I made a lot of these from pine last summer and they sold like hot cakes at $3.00 each. Good one.
