Project Information

This log-cutting stand is based on the Log Processing Center (LPC),designed by the Minnesota Woodturner's Assn.

The idea is to provide a safe, stable holding fixture to cut logs on, keep the work at a comfortable height, and keep your chain out of the dirt and rocks. I plan to use this in my storage room to avoid dealing with fumes from my gas-powered chainsaw.

Our local AAW chapter built several similar stands a couple of years ago.

Information is available on the Minnesota Woodturner's Assn website: http://mnwoodturners.com/mwa-chapter/blog/project-log-processing-center-lpc-kit-assembly-instructions/

The woodturners strike again. Great stand for holding logs steady while you slice them into what ever sized
pieces will fit onto your lathe easiest. The electric chainsaw keeps the neighbors and others from knowing
you are sawing logs in the shop instead of in bed. Thank you for sharing.

This is perfect. How is the height? If you build it again would you change anything?

I'm about 5-11, and the height is perfect for me. Don't think I would change a thing.
