I know it is. & I've said it before…. I am not trying to win any awards, just trying to feed my family. I could get more but would end up waiting too long between jobs. When I do get overwelmed with work the price goes up. Catch me in a dry spell & well … ya know. It doesnt hapen often though. I am booked solid through march now.

Awesome table, Is Spar urethane food safe? Safe to cut on? What is used on cutting boards? This table is so cool!! Why do you use Spar urethane on tables?

Hi all & thanks!
I use spar urethane because with that you wouldnt need coasters for hot or wet cups & glasses. No its not food safe to cut on. There is a product called "salad bowl finish" & others. But then you would be using coasters.
For your first table I would use a tung oil or danish oil for starters. I use these at customers request & JFF ar times. Its a lot more forgiving than spar urethane. good luck.
