Project Information
I had the opportunity to get a Lineberry factory cart about a month ago and decided to restore it to use as a coffee table. These carts were created around the turn of the century and most of them were abused daily after that so they can be rather rusted and beat up. I decided to take all of the metal grind off all of the rust and then repaint it all Rustoleum flat black. Most of the hardware was either trashed or broken when removed so I replaced all of the hardware with new hardware. I also chose to make all new wood, so the frame and top was replaced with red oak that was stained with Minwax Early American stain and the finished with polyurethane.
The first 2 pictures are of the finished cart , the third is of the frame finished with the hardware trial fitted and then the last picture is of what the cart looked like when I first got it. This project was a ton of fun and SWMBO is happy with her new coffee table. Thanks for looking.
