Project Information

When Debra and I built our house, we collected a fairly large collection of books. We needed to place to store and use them, so the shelf in the workshop popped up. Again being all new at the woodworking I tackled the idea by buying yet another book showing me "how-to". Using the router for a decorative edge, the miter saw for sharp 90 degree ends and my newly purchased Kregg pocket hole jig this is what I got. I used the band saw as well to sculpture the support bracket. I had some MDF left over from the building f the house I used that at the shelving material.

one quick note, this is not all our books! We have so many that I may need to add an additional shelf in the real near future

I've got that series of books you have on the far left. I've found them to be quite good.

The shelf looks nice. How did you attach it to the wall though? I don't see any hardware.

I attached the brackets using my Kregg pocket hole jig. We have so many books and magazines, and surprisingly we have read or browsed most of them. I attended an auction not log ago and purchased boxes and boxes of books on toy making, they should be fun to go through.
