Beautiful work, I like it, but who the heck pays for 1,000 dollars of woodwork on a 80 dollar gun? I may be wrong but that sure looks like a NEF single shot.

Thats some fine detailed work. Is it hand carved or have you got electrical equipment/tools
for the job?

Thank you all for your comments!

8O) Yes it is a cheap gun… but that is what the guy wanted. I probably would not have even done it but he traded me a motorcycle for the work.

I do the initial outline with a small hand V tool, then I do the lion's share of it with a hand held rotary tool.

Well, I guess it's not an 80 dollar gun anymore.

My it's gun stock day here on LJ. That's some really serious carving. Makes the gun look like a million bucks.

I figure maybe the gun has sentimental value for the guy. In any case, you did an outstanding job in making the gun stand out! I love the 'checkering' pattern. Nice work!!

The fish scale looks great. Do you use a Shofu or the GSR?, I use the Shofu and love it.
Cheap or expensive makes no difference when your first starting as long as your getting paid for your efforts, thats what is important.
Thanks for sharing your work.
