Project Information

This is is the latest group of all wood folding knives just finished. I have show similar ones before and the folks who follow LJ's have seen my other offerings. These are for those who are a little newer and like this type of item. I am still searching for others who might make folding all wood knives. Maybe we can discuss and help each other with some tips. Have now been able to make the springs really active and am able to get a nice click when opening and closing. This batch shows Army, Colts, US, and Ford emblems. Added a couple pics to show what one looks like after a couple of the glue steps. The story is I have made well over 850 of these since retiring but have slowed somewhat as I now make more segmented bowls than knives. I really wonder what is next? Comments please and PMs with questions welcomed. Thanks for looking.

These are really cool Vernon. I also checked out the ones you made previously. This is something that would make a great keepsake for ones collection of projects. Maybe some day when I earn more talent.

Vernon, you are a master craftsman at those very fine wood knives. All, very awesome. I do like the one with the blue oval. :)

I love these knives you do! Are you familiar with the Case Sidewinder knife? I'm thinking about taking a go at making one of those from wood, and wondering if you have any tips?
