Project Information

You are right, degoose, boards are addictive. This is made from Tasmanian Blackwood, Tasmanian Cheesewood, Tasmanian Oak, Jarrah and American Black Walnut and I love it. Last board for a while as I am off on holidays for 3 weeks. Trying to finish a lazy susan in Tasmanian Blackwood and Jarrah before I leave but don't think it will happen.

For Aussie-based, especially Victorian woodworkers have a look at "Pop's Shed" in Chirnside Park if you don't already know about it. A Ballarat woodworker introduced me yesterday as I rang him to see where he gets his cheese-knife blanks from.

To cut out the corners to suit the shape of the board get a set of French Curves. Select the curve for a corner, put markers of the curve as a proforma and mark out al the corners. Band-saw them off and rout the edges. Voila!!
