Project Information

Last piece of the stump. It had to be super glued in spots, just the way it grew. When I went to make my final cuts it turned out to be too hard for my tools, hence the simple shape. 5.75" X 2". Salad Bowl Finish.

A recycling idea in the last photo. I used an old lathe tool set box and some discarded foam to make a holder for all my Oneway Stronghold Chuck parts.

Good work on the bowl John. Sometimes they tell us a little what they should be. Nice idea with the storage box.

Nice, the small stuff can really surprise you sometimes.
Think I have a couple of small cherry blanks that are waiting for some attention!
I usually use carbide tools for most of the rough work.
Got my new Planer/jointer almost set up, still need to figure out best way to set up
dust collector, then I can get back to making some boxes?

Nicely done John. It's nice to see the natural markings preserved in the bowl.

Thanks all, stumps are full of surprises! The bowl goes to my daughter, the jaws and face plates stay with me.
