Project Information
This is a large, tall cane made for the person who wants a cane to feel like it's a substantial piece to hold on to. The handles is 6 3/4" Long x 1.5" Wide x 2" Tall designed for a large and medium sized hand allowing an ample grip. The handle is also shaped to allow the thumb and index finger to wrap around the handle over the shaft and a finger catch for the small finger for added balance.
The handle is made from solid Koa (Hawaii), with a collar of Ziricote (Belize/Central America) and the shaft is made of solid Padauk (Africa). The chatoyance of the Koa is quite beautiful and the pattern of the Ziricote gives an extra interest and contrast of color to the vivid boldness of the Padauk.
