Wow that is quite a proses. Are you using a CNC router? I never have so I don't have a clue what steps are involved.

I'm using a full blown CNC Mill from my shop where I build cylinderheads. Its a little over kill, but I dont have a router. I run a "climb mill" pattern to rough them out, to avoid splitting the wood, then do a .015 inch finish pass in a "conventional mill pattern" that leaves a part that dose not need sanding. Oak mills nicely, gum and maple….not so much, its to soft.
