This is the first thing I personally made from only wood. I made this shelf to go over my kitchen sink because I have a very small kitchen with limited storage space. I used an old table leaf I found as the top and built the rest with recycled pallet wood and an old pantry cabinet a friend was throwing away. I live in a cabin on a lake and ran over the piece of driftwood(cedar) I used to make towel holder on my waverunner while doing this project. I covered some pieces with bandana style fabric (just like the way it looks). I burned some of the wood with a torch and coated all with sealant. It turned out looking great, just wish I had made sides of bottom section taller for more room above sink and it blocks a lot of light to sink.
