Project Information

I bought an old work table from the Amish and turned it into a kitchen island for our house.
The top is maple with some new elm and cherry pieces. It also has 53 circle inlays that are walnut, hickory, and maple.
The inlays are where there was imperfections in the top. I also wanted the look of bubbles just for fun.
The shelves are elm barn boards with 2" horseshoe nails attaching them.
The legs are old barn beams I took out of my woodshop when I remolded and installed a full stairs.
The legs and aprons are held together with pocket joinery with 3" long screws as getting a straight edge on the 6"x 6" barn beams was almost impossible.
