It still needs a few coats of poly. I should have used something thinner than 3/4" ply for the back. It's a heavy beast. The shelves are removable, but not adjustable. It has a nice pocket in the base where I will run power, drilling holes for a couple of power plugs with USB. A French cleat runs end to end at the top, and I've added a matching standoff board at the base so it doesn't tilt. You can see the wall-side cleat sitting in front of the headboard. Most of it is built with hidden pocket screws, with a few regular screws in the back, top, and base to hold the vertical shelf supports in place.
