Project Information

Started this project during a hand tool class at NW Woodworking Studio. It was supposed to be a shaker-style coffee table, but I did not need a coffee table and I wanted to try out my new Veritas spokeshaves, so I built this instead. Alder with a seal-coat of de-waxed shellac. Stained and then top-coated with wipe on oil/poly mixture. This will make a good play-table for my girls. Just the right height and no sharp corners.

I made a table for my kid recently and they loved it. I'm sure your kid/kids will get alot of use out of it too. It looks great much better than the one I built.

Kids love curves and this has them in abundance. Great work on the scalloped edges. I'll take a spokeshave lesson from you any day. Beautiful.
